I’ve been thinking a lot about my relationship with technology. I started my career in tech when I was 20, nearly 15(!) years ago and I’ve been online for as long as I can remember.
As a kid, I spent hours customizing my Neopet pages. As a tween, I curated my MySpace profile, swapping out the song whenever I felt like it (Brie Larson’s single was a favorite though). I remember feeling like technology was a tool I could use to express myself; that it was important (and fun!) to tailor my online spaces to reflect who I was.
And then I grew up, graduated, got a job, and my online spaces became mostly places to network and share vacation pictures once a year (and keep up with the horrors).
So this blog is my attempt to reframe my relationship with tech – a way to write down my thoughts and share parts of my life in an algorithm-free environment. It’s also a fun little exercise in remembering how CSS works.
